Brash Spreading

Working for Moors for the Future we were engaged to spread over 2000 bags of heather brash onto bare peat at Bleaklow and Peal Naze. The brash acts to prevent the peat being washed away or frozen stabilising it enough for vegetation to get established in the small microclimates between the twigs.
