Heather Cutting

We've been busy cutting heather this year using our specialist alpine tractor to create firebreaks and diversify the age structure of heather.

The tractor is the perfect tool for the job. The large dual wheels give it the ground clearance and low ground pressure to access even the wettest site without causing damage. The dual steer system means it is articulated in the centre so it can steer tight corners whilst pivoting keeping all tyres in contact with the ground and in complete control. The low centre of gravity means it will climb steep banks and access site other machines cannot reach.

The 91hp tractor and 2 metre reverse drive flail means we can power through even the thickest heather quickly. The small tractor punches well above it's weight.
